Prof. Andreas Baumbach is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist specializing in interventional cardiology. He graduated from the University of Tübingen, Germany in 1989, and completed his specialist training in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Intensive Care Medicine. Prof. Baumbach moved to the UK in 2000 to join the University of Bristol. In 2017, he was appointed as Chair for Device Innovation at Queen Mary University of London.

Prof. Baumbach’s clinical interests include the treatment of aortic stenosis, coronary artery disease, and heart attacks. He is proficient in procedures such as angiograms, angioplasty, coronary stent placements, and transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). His research focuses on novel therapies for valvular heart disease, heart attack treatment, and advancements in coronary stent procedures. He has published over 300 research papers and is a regular speaker at scientific meetings.
