Dr. Ajay Kaul is a distinguished cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon with over 38 years of clinical excellence, serving as the Chairman of Cardiac Sciences at Fortis Hospital, Noida. He has undertaken more than 20,000 major heart surgeries, including an outstanding number of minimally invasive procedures, total arterial bypass surgeries, and complex congenital pediatric operations. A recognized pioneer, he is the country’s only certified solo TAVR implanter, having successfully conducted over 30 TAVR cases. Dr. Kaul is highly proficient in total arterial coronary bypass, structural heart disease, valve repair, heart failure surgery, pediatric cardiac surgery, heart and lung transplants, and ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation. He also has significant academic credentials, including international fellowships in heart‑lung transplantation (Hannover), minimally invasive cardiac surgery (Leipzig), and teaching appointments across India and abroad, including as a guest professor in Germany. His contributions to surgical training and excellence have consistently set benchmarks in Indian cardiac care.
