Dr. Shankar Ayyappan Kutty

Dr. Shankar Ayyappan Kutty is a distinguished neurosurgeon with over 20 years of experience, currently serving as the Head of the Department of Neurosurgery at NMC Specialty Hospital, Abu Dhabi. He completed his MBBS and M.Ch. in Neurosurgery in India and further advanced his expertise with a clinical fellowship in skull base and vascular surgery from Fujita University, Japan. Dr. Kutty has extensive experience in brain and spine surgeries, including intracranial aneurysm clipping, excision of skull base tumors, spine tumor surgery, and craniofacial surgeries. He has also been involved in multi-specialty surgeries collaborating with surgical oncologists, plastic surgeons, and maxillofacial surgeons. Prior to joining NMC, he was a Senior Consultant and HOD of Neurosurgery at Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS), Kerala.
